Piotr/Jean-Paul. Existence.

Jean-Paul Beaubier was certainly not deep. He’d never be found reading books on philosophy, anything by Nietzsche, works by Aristotle, Anaximander, or Socrates. He wouldn’t be reading Shakespeare, Hemingway, Dickens, or God forbid, the Brontë sisters.
Hell, one would be hard pressed to find him reading at all, even for his classes. Except when Piotr made him. It didn’t take much. A stern or reproachful look from those blue eyes and Jean-Paul would heave a sigh, roll over, and dig a book off the floor from under mounds of clothes, and read, knowing he’d be well rewarded later.
But when he was posed with writing an essay for class, one that dug too deep into philosophy and existentialism for him, he didn’t bother with books. He knew the reason for his existence. And though he wouldn’t name it in his homework, he did aloud, every day and every day.
His reason for existence was love, and its name was Piotr Rasputin.
