Cameron hadn’t had an easy life growing up. Large family, not really enough money to go around, hand-me-down after hand-me-down. He didn’t knock it; his parents did the best they could and gave as many opportunities as they could afford to their children. He was happy, for the most part, but wondered if he’d ever find the true happiness he could only get by following his dreams.
It took three jobs, none as savory as could be, but Cameron got himself one luxury most people in his family couldn’t really afford.
College.
And that was where he met Julien. There were bumps in the road. It didn’t run so smoothly at first, but when Cameron realized how willing Julien seemed to be to drop unnameable amounts of money to help Cameron pursue the dream the future business knew the younger man was capable of achieving, he let him. After months of arguing, Cameron let Julien help him find his way.
Auditions that were previously out of his reach because they were clear across the country, or he had not way to afford getting there, or couldn’t miss work to go, suddenly fell into his lap. For the first time, Cameron could see a path for his dreams to come true.
