So. I got some writing done today. Original characters, not meant for RP. It's been a while. Working title for the collection is Pembroke Academy.

Alpha Wolf

Until that moment, Wyatt Eckart had never had a moment of self-doubt. Until that moment, Wyatt had always been one hundred percent sure of himself. Proud, confident to the point of conceit, arrogant and snide. Until that moment, Wyatt never once questioned himself.

Until the moment Torrance Storm started attending Pembroke Academy.

The first moment Wyatt saw him saunter down the halls, tie loose, shirt half-untucked, black hair longer than school rules allowed, seeds of doubt were planted. Wyatt found himself actually stepping aside to let the taller boy pass, an action he immediately cursed himself for. Wyatt Eckart stepped aside for no one. It was like being leader of a wolf pack and suddenly another alpha wolf, dangerously sly, entered the territory, challenging authority. And Wyatt had instinctively stepped down. Why?

Torrance slowed, stopped, gold eyes raking over Wyatt from head to toe. "Wyatt Eckart," was all he said.

Wyatt, flanked as usual by his two cronies, lifted his lips in a curling sneer. "Good. You know my name. Any other displays of brilliance you'd like to show?" Wyatt's hazel eyes were blank, forcedly unreadable. His body language was clear, however. He'd unconsciously stepped down. He wasn't going to stand by that. He was Wyatt Eckart. He ruled Pembroke.

An amused smiled spread across Torrance's lips. "I think that's all for now, Eckart. I'm sure I'll be seeing you." He didn't spare Wyatt's goons a glance, just continued on his way down the hall, a slack, easy, relaxed confidence about his movement. Wyatt scowled and turned, shoving a younger student out of his way. A foul mood had settled on him and he knew damn well why.

Torrance Storm had gotten under his skin.

---

By the end of the day, Wyatt was positively fuming. Torrance had been in far too many of his classes, always just far enough away to catch him out of the corner of his eye, not near enough to say or do anything to wipe the sly smile off his face. What the hell was he smiling about anyway? He slammed his locker shut, shoving past a few fear-stricken freshmen, out to the parking lot. There was a silver Mercedes parked next to his black Lexus. Somehow he knew immediately to whom it belonged. And he turned, not at all surprised to see Torrance Storm again sauntering [did he ever just walk like a normal human being?] up to him - no, not to Wyatt. To his own car - flicking gold eyes over at him again. "Nice ride."

Wyatt's eyes narrowed. "Yours too." The wind whistled past lifting Torrance's hair. Wyatt's didn't move. Shorter than Torrance's, pale blond, heavily gelled. Wyatt hated to have even a hair out of place. Torrance's irritated him. Immediately. He opened the door and started to climb in as Torrance said, just barely loud enough to be heard, "Have a nice night, Eckart. I'll see you tomorrow."

Wyatt had no chance to respond. Torrance climbed into his car, started the ignition and peeled out in what seemed like one fluid movement. Further aggravated now, Wyatt took off as well, feeling his temper seethe. This Torrance Storm presumed too much to just talk to him like that. Oh no. Tomorrow, Wyatt would put his foot down. Tomorrow, Torrance wouldn't get away with the snooty attitude. Tomorrow, Wyatt would show him just who the king of Pembroke Academy was.

But for today, the new wolf had been alpha.

No, it's obviously not done. There'll be multiple parts. I'm not sure how long this may go on for. But Torrance has many plans for Wyatt.
